Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef, seasoned with salt and pepper
- 16 ounces canned baked beans
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- 1/2 cup onion, diced
- 1 large carrot, peeled & diced
- 1 1/2 cups beef broth
- 1 teaspoon salt (or more)
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/8 teaspoon red pepper flakes (or black pepper)
- 1 tablespoon oil of your choice
Instructions
- Add the oil to a large skillet over medium-high heat. When hot, add the ground beef and onion.
- Cook until the beef is browned, approximately 3 to 5 minutes. Crumble the beef as it cooks. Drain the grease and add the mixture to the slow cooker.
- Add all the remaining ingredients to the slow cooker. Stir to mix well.
- Cook HIGH for 3 to 4 hours or LOW 6 to 8.
