Ingredients

  • 1 ½ Gal Water
  • ½ C Salt – Kosher
  • ½ C Dark Brown Sugar
  • 2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 2 tsp Onion Powder
  • 2 tsp Cajun Spice (Tony Chachere’s)
  • 2 tsp Celery Seed

Instructions

  1. Mix all together in 5 gallon Igloo cooler
  2. Place frozen bird in brine and thaw.
  3. or, place thawed bird in brine for min 12 hours
  4. This yields enough to submerge a 12lb bird in a 5 gallon Igloo cooler
